“Until the end of the world is an on going archive made of digital and instant photographs that documents the fragility, and the signals of trasformation, of the planet. It consist of landscape images taken in the most distant places on the planet, from Australia to Canada, from New Zealand to Europe. The title refers directly to the Wim Wenders road movie but also to the life life expectation of the collected photos, bound to decompose at the end of times. It is a reportage that freeze in time the transient conditions of the depicted locations, places constantly mutating as the climate change, the global temperature rises and the effects of natural disasters accelerated by the human activities. Until the end of the world spring up with the goal of displaying the slow and invisible macro-events that turn the human habitat upside down, such as the glaciers melting, the boulders erosion, the constant action of the oceans on the coasts, or hydrogeological instabilities.
It is a sublime warning screaming till the end of the world, or maybe just till my last breath.
